Description

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Planning and performing audit services for clients in the insurance industry
  • Preparing engagement letters
  • Consolidating subsidiary accounts
  • Preparing client representation letters
  • Supervising, training and evaluating staff
  • Financial risk assessment
  • Variation analysis
  • Reviewing quarterly financial information
  • Reviewing internal controls and making recommendations for improvements
  • Preparing and reviewing detailed accounting reports
  • Performing accounting research
  • Delegating work to staff and providing an environment that fosters a team approach to auditing
  • Preparing and/or reviewing tax returns for clients
  • Working with the tax department to determine how best to optimize the clients’ tax issues

Developing and maintaining strong client relationships

Job Information

The right candidate should have the following:

  • 2-8 years recent audit experience in a CPA firm
  • CPA certification is a big plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Desire to train and evaluate staff
  • Good “team-player”
