A prestigious professional service firm is looking for a Director of Finance to report directly to the CFO. This position is a key member of the management team.

Responsibilities of the position include:
• Cash management, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis responsibilities
• Assisting in strategic planning
• Handling or overseeing all accounting responsibilities including the general ledger, payroll and related financial reporting requirements
• Preparing budgets & performing monthly variation analysis
• Ad-hoc reporting and analysis
• Managing, training and evaluating staff
• Overseeing all quarterly and yearly financial statements
• Working with firm partners, outside accountants, bankers and attorneys
• Administration of insurance policies
• Reviewing the department operations for redundancies and improving the efficiency processes

The right candidate should have:
• BS in Accounting or Finance
• CPA a big plus
• MBA or MS a plus
• 10-15 years’ experience in a management role in a service industry (CPA firm or law firm)
• Experience as an Audit Manager or Senior Manager from a large CPA firm a big plus
• Management experience in a partnership environment is preferred
• Knowledge of budgeting, cost control and reporting a must
• Ability to work both individually and as part of a team
• Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills
• Strong Microsoft computer skills including Excel (a must)
