Description

Our client, a Family Office with high net worth clientele located in NYC, is adding a Tax Senior Manager to their team. The main responsibilities of this individual will be to review returns for HNW individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts and foundations.  This individual will maintain services for high net worth clientele with related planning, projects and compliance requirements as they arise. Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Review tax returns and income tax projections, estimated tax vouchers, and extension forms
  • Research and answer all related tax issues
  • Process filings for tax forms and related disbursements with taxing authorities
  • Perform analysis of historical financial data in order to prepare clients’ statements including balance sheet, statement of net worth, income statement, cash flow statements and estate planning summaries
  • Perform retirement planning analysis
  • Document financial planning projects -charitable calculations, private foundation minimum payout, promissory note payments and amortization schedules
  • Track and analyze the cost basis of client’s investments
  • Deal with investment portfolio reports, asset allocations and related responsibilities
  • Perform special ad-hoc related analysis per clients and managements request
Job Information

The right candidate will have the following:

  • The ideal candidate will possess:
  • BA/BS degree in Accounting
  • CPA a must; MS or LLM a big plus
  • At least 8 years tax experience within the tax department of a large, regional CPA firm
  • Experience preparing/reviewing tax returns for HNW individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and foundations
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, BNA Tax Planner, and tax software programs
  • Strong understanding of tax strategy, planning, accounting and compliance for families
  • Client service orientation
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and follow through
  • Strong organizational skills, detailed oriented and highly motivated
